“I was born and raised in Curacao, lived and worked in Holland, Mexico and Cuba, where I learned different dance styles, and have experienced that dancing is a universal form of culture that can be used to bring people together”.

Faizah is a graduate of the “Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten”, and the well-known University of the Arts in Havana, Cuba. She holds various certificates of attended summer dance programs around the world. During her studies and after graduation, she acquired knowledge and experience in her field, such as dancer, teacher and choreographer.

Faizah is currently a dancer from Laleget Danza and has acted and danced in various prestigious performances and projects by Introdans/ General Oost, Maurice Causey, Harlekijn Danstheater by Herman van Veen, ISADANZA, Stichting Julius Leeft by John Leerdam, works with or by Felix de Rooy, Marijke Eliasberg, Naomi Deira, Anna Maria Suijkerbuik, Tommaso di Battista and Miguel Rubio. With Rubio she has created the following; “Man Go”, “Cremat” and “Blackout” including choreography, dancing, production and direction for embassies of Spain and Cuba. Faizah has also danced in films such as “The Firebird”; a symphonic film that is touring concert halls in Europe.

She has created for Lindenberg Dance Company, The Peer performance group, Herman van Veen and her own theatre productions.

Faizah has worked as a dance teacher at Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, the Arts and Entertainment College Amsterdam, various schools in the Netherlands and abroad and at the University of the Arts in Havana, Cuba.
