Lynnée Denise began her love affair with vinyl through her parent’s record collection. She started DJing on college radio, then purchased two turntables to push her practice. She owns and manages over ten thousands albums and coined the term DJ Scholarship to talk about the relationship between DJ culture, education and cultural work. Lynnée Denise has taught DJ workshops from Compton to Aruba and has spun in more than twenty cities around the world. She worked with the World Famous Beat Junkies to build her capacity to teach DJing to aspiring students. Lynnée Denise is a Visiting Scholar at California State University Los Angeles. She lives between California and Amsterdam.
